Train as a dancer. Grow as an artist. Emerge as a professional.

Professional Dance Training French Riviera (PDTFR) is a full-time professional dance training program based in Grasse, on the French Riviera, designed for highly committed dancers(17 to25 years old) ready to take the next step toward an international career.

Our approach goes beyond technique.

At PDTFR, we train the dancer, the artist, and the human being — body and mind.

A Full-Time Professional Program

PDTFR is a two-year intensive training program offering a minimum of 30 hours per week of high-level practice.

The curriculum combines:

  • Contemporary dance & ballet technique

  • Partnering & repertoire

  • Improvisation & composition

  • Choreography & performance

  • Physical theatre, mime & dramaturgy

  • Voice, singing & video creation

This multidisciplinary training helps dancers develop technical excellence, creative versatility, and their own artistic identity — essential qualities for today’s professional dance world.

More Than Training: A Human-Centered Philosophy

What makes PDTFR different is our human-centered approach.

We believe that strong technique only reaches its full potential when dancers feel:

  • confident

  • mentally supported

  • emotionally grounded

  • free to explore and take artistic risks

Dancers are not treated as numbers or products, but as individual artists with unique paths.

Small cohorts allow for close guidance, meaningful relationships, and a supportive yet demanding professional environment.

A Unique Strength: Weekly Individual Mental Coaching

One of the core pillars of PDTFR and a rarity in professional dance training is our weekly one-to-one mental coaching, provided to every dancer, throughout the entire year.

This is not occasional support.
It is continuous, individual follow-up.

Mental coaching helps dancers:

  • Build a strong and authentic artistic identity

  • Develop confidence and clarity on stage and in creation

  • Manage stress, pressure, self-doubt, and comparison

  • Strengthen resilience in auditions and professional transitions

  • Transform emotional challenges into artistic power

By working weekly on mindset, focus, and inner balance, dancers gain tools that stay with them far beyond the program.

This combination of physical training + mental coaching prepares dancers not only to perform — but to last in a demanding career.

Preparing Dancers for the Professional World

PDTFR prepares dancers for the realities of professional life:

  • Working with different choreographic styles

  • Adapting quickly and creatively

  • Collaborating as independent artists

  • Taking responsibility for their career path

Graduates leave the program as technically strong, mentally resilient, and creatively autonomous artists, ready to integrate companies, freelance projects, or develop their own work.

Who Is This Program For?

PDTFR is for dancers who:

  • Are deeply committed to a professional career

  • Want more than technical training

  • Are ready to work physically and mentally

  • Seek a program that values individuality and personal growth

  • Want to become strong, adaptable, and conscious artists
